The Alan Temkin Group ©

The Alan Temkin Group was formed over forty years ago, and is involved in the development of single family homes, land development, condominium construction, the development and ownership of residential apartments and construction management. Additionally, the group is involved in real estate consulting including workouts.

During this time we have constructed over one thousand homes, including the installation of the corresponding infrastructure, i.e., miles of roads and utilities. We have been involved with the construction of an additional three thousand or more homes through family companies and/or partnerships. Further, we have been a partner in the ownership and development of over three hundred apartment units. Lastly, we have developed in excess of one hundred-fifty building lots including the development of approximately eight miles of roads.

Pinner Partners, LLC is our Custom Home Development and Remodeling Company. We have a talented team that works together with individual home owners and/or architects to construct new homes on either the owners’ lot or on one of our lots. Also, the team remodels and/or builds additions to existing homes.

Currently, we are a partner in the development of Shepaug Crossing in Litchfield which consists of over 276 acres in Litchfield, Ct. There are 20 estate sized lots, and we have donated over 80 acres of land to open space which will help protect the Shepaug River. We are also partners in two additional new single family home developments – Fieldstone in Southington, comprised of 21 homes, and Guernseytown Estates in Watertown, comprised of 34 homes.

We are a member of the National Association of Home Builders and a member of the Connecticut Developer’s Council. Alan was the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Northwest Connecticut for four years, and a Director for over 15 years. He served on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Northwest Connecticut and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Maria Seymour Brooker Memorial.


We utilize our customized, Open Book System to share our costs with our clients. This system works extremely well for our clients for they find that this policy allows them to make more informed financial and design decisions. The result is that they stay within their budget while achieving their architectural goals.
